In 2003, Horowitzs book Point Blank won the Black-Eyed Susan Award, in the Grades 6-9 category. Most importantly, Horowitz is a recipient of the Order of the British Empire in virtue of his literary works. Contextually, however, there are few film adaptations of his books. For instance, thé 1988 film named Just Ask for Diamond; it is a film adaptation of Horowitzs 1986 book called The Falcons Malteser (first in the serialized The Diamond Brothers ); and starring Colin Dale and Dursley McLinden who played as Nick and Tim, respectively. Horowitzs book Stormbréaker was made intó a similarly titIed 2006 film; Alex Pettyfer starred, appearing as Alex Rider.
